Arrival and Dismissal

As you are no doubt already aware, Arrival and Dismissal can be a very hectic and confusing time. But, inshaallah, at The Huda Academy, the following procedure has been implemented to ensure efficient Drop-off and Pick-up processes:

Enter via Lucie Street Turn onto Anna Street for both Drop-off & Pick-up times Continue up Anna Street - Exit Left or Right onto 32nd Street

• Parents must remain in their vehicles at all times
• A Staff Member will escort each child to his/her vehicle in the afternoons
• Children will be sent to vehicles once vehicle is beyond the Stop Sign in front of the Playground
• Parents must NEVER PASS vehicles in the line - this is EXTREMELY DANGEROUS
• Vehicles will be directed to progress as soon as FIRE-ZONE is cleared
• If student(s) are not ready, parents will be asked to park at ICLR and wait

We ask that everyone follow this procedure very carefully.  It has proven to be the most efficeint method for dismissal.  Most importantly, IT IS SAFE!

Tardy Policy
Students arriving after 8:05 must be accompanied by a parent and report to the office to be signed in.  Tardy students will not be allowed to enter class until 2nd period, in order to minimize classroom disruptions.  A Tardy Slip will be issued which must be signed by a parent/legal guardian and returned.  REMINDER:  3 TARDIES = 1 UNEXCUSED ABSENCE.

Excused Absence:
An Excused Absence is defined as follows:

• Illness with a Doctor's Note
• Death in the Immediate Family
• Inclement Weather / Road Conditions
